Description Join artist Kelly Moran for an exciting and creative exploration of collage! With a practice rooted in collage since her beginnings, Kelly invites you to dive into this unique art form. Collage, derived from the French word "coller," meaning to glue or stick, is a technique that brings together different elements to create a new whole. Inspired by pioneers like Kurt Schwitters, who viewed collage as an extension of painting, we will focus on the structure of compositions and the harmony of color relationships. **What to Expect:** In this hands-on workshop, participants will cut and glue a variety of materials sourced from Kelly's private stash of vintage books, contemporary magazines, and more. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced artist, this workshop offers a fantastic opportunity to experiment and create in a supportive group environment. **What to Bring:** - Any paper or ephemera you would like to include in your collage any kind of paper. - Your own scissors - A small self-healing cutting mat (if you have one; larger communal mats will be provided) **Come Ready to Create:** Collaging together is not just about making art; it's about connecting with others and enjoying the process. Bring your imagination and sense of fun as we explore the endless possibilities of collage!
