Description Join Gaby Hurtado - Ramos for a Zine workshop. Zines are self-published, often handmade books that are versatile in form and easily distributable to the public. Zines can be instructive, humorous, serious, text-based, illustrative, and all sorts of combinations in-between. In this workshop, we will cover the basics of handmade booklets with an emphasis on accessibility so that you can apply skills and ideas with the supplies you have available. Writing, drawing, collage, and conceptual-based booklets will be covered through prompts and guidance. Both one-page zines and pamphlet stapled booklets will be demonstrated. Participants will make their own zine that they can take home and even later make copies of, if desired.
