TRAIL OF ART
Heights Boulevard Sculpture Project
Houston, Texas
March 15, 2016 - December 15, 2016
Gus Kopriva and Chris Silkwood are pleased to announce their third curated sculpture exhibit along the esplanade of Heights Boulevard. The sculptures are in eight locations along the esplanade from the 400 block to the 1800 block.
The exhibits have been immensely popular to the residents and businesses within the Heights and to visitors from all over the U.S. and many international countries. Gus and Chris invite visitors to enjoy photo opportunities alongside the sculptures, to post them on your favorite social media sites and to simply provide you with a sense of joy as you stroll, bicycle or drive the boulevard.
Specials thanks to committee members Jim Bennett, Simon Eyles, and Joe Turner, Executive Director of the Parks Department, Public Works and our 501C3 partner, Fresh Arts.
The goal of “Trail of Art” sculpture project is to organize an exhibition that is a representation of regional works of contemporary art along the esplanade for the enjoyment of our community and visitors. Exhibits—produced by highly recognized Texas artists—will foster the understanding and advancement of art.
The exhibition will be in place from March 15 – December 15, 2016. The participating artists for “Trail of Art” include Robbie Barber, Keith Crane and Chris Silkwood, Kelley Devine, David Graeve, Alex Larsen, Patrick Renner, Ariane Roesch and Kaneem Smith.
